  4. 1. Introduction

  6.    Ticker/2 is a PM utility that displays text and bitmaps in a tickerline on 
  7.    your desktop. A REXX interface allows you to select the source of the 
  8.    information. You could display stock quotes, news, sport results, your own 
  9.    commercials, whatever with only little knowledge of REXX programming. 
  10.    Ticker/2 comes with a set of example scripts.

  28. The use of Ticker/2 is subject to the following terms and conditions.

  30. The copy of Ticker/2 that you have is distributed as shareware. You may freely
  31. copy and distribute the file TICKER2.ZIP but only AS LONG AS THIS FILE IS NOT
  32. MODIFIED IN ANY WAY and you do not charge a fee for the distribution or make
  33. profit from the distribution in any other form. You may NOT distribute 
  34. individual  components of TICKER2.ZIP, either as-is or in modified form, 
  35. without written permission from Kirchhoff & Grill Software GmbH.

  37. Since Ticker/2 is distributed as shareware, you may use it for a 31-day 
  38. trial period, as long as you agree to the provisions of this license 
  39. agreement. If you continue to use Ticker/2 beyond the 31-day trial 
  40. period, you are obligated to register it.

  42. When you register Ticker/2, you will be given instructions for converting 
  43. it to the full, non-shareware version. You may not distribute the full 
  44. version. You may treat it just like a book, except that you may copy it 
  45. onto a computer to be used and you may make archival copies of it 
  46. for the sole purpose of backing up the software and protecting your 
  47. investment from loss.

  49. By saying "just like a book," we mean that the full version may be 
  50. used by any number of people, and may be freely moved from one 
  51. computer location to another, so long as there is NO POSSIBILITY of it 
  52. being used at one location or on one computer while it is being used

  54. two different places at one time, neither can the full version of Ticker/2 
  55. be used by two different people in two different places at the same

  64. 4. Installation
  65.  
  66.    To install Ticker/2 do the following steps:
  67.  
  68.    - create a directory where you want the program files to be installed
  69.  
  70.    - unzip the ticker2.zip in this directory 
  71.  
  72.    - call install.cmd from within this directory
  73.      this will create a folder named Ticker/2 on your desktop
  74.  
  75. 5. Registration
  76.  
  77.    See register.txt for information how to register. The registration will 
  78.    remove the display of the copyright notice on the ticker. As a registered
  79.    user you get support by e-mail or fax.
